New Delhi, March 20 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that India is shaping a decisive chapter in the global energy landscape, supported by a sustained push towards electrification, clean energy expansion, and domestic manufacturing.The Prime Minister shared an article authored by Minister of State for Power and New and Renewable Energy Shripad Yesso Naik, which outlined the ongoing transformation in India’s energy sector.
Policy-Driven Push Towards Self-Reliance
In a post on social media platform X, PM Modi emphasized that India’s energy transition is being guided by pragmatic policy decisions and a clear commitment to self-reliance.He highlighted that initiatives focused on expanding clean energy capacity, increasing electrification, and strengthening manufacturing capabilities are positioning India as a significant player in the global energy ecosystem.

Call to Global Investors in Power Sector
Earlier this week, the Prime Minister called on global investors to engage more actively in India’s power sector, urging them to make, invest, innovate, and scale within the country.His message was delivered at the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 in New Delhi through Union Power Secretary Pankaj Aggarwal.

In his address, PM Modi described India as being at a defining moment in its energy journey as the world’s fastest-growing major economy.“I invite the global community to make in India, innovate in India, invest in India, and scale with India. He added that the summit seeks to bring together stakeholders from across the power and energy ecosystem to exchange ideas, foster collaboration, and chart a unified path for sectoral growth and improved quality of life.
