Segment Performance and Operational Excellence

Nandini Piramal, Chairperson of Piramal Pharma Limited, stated that the company started FY27 strongly, with all three business units delivering mid-to-high teens revenue growth and meaningful EBITDA margin expansion.

Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO):
The CDMO segment achieved 19% year-on-year revenue growth, driven by broad-based activity across India and overseas sites. The company strengthened its commercial capabilities through an expanded team and improved customer engagement. Operational excellence, higher utilization, and pricing discipline were key factors in driving the EBITDA margin expansion despite inflationary pressures. In terms of capability advancements, Piramal Pharma inaugurated the commercial-scale payload-linker suite at Riverview, US, while the sterile injectable capacity expansion at Lexington, US remains on track. The Sellersville facility also received an Establishment Inspection Report from the US FDA, and the business maintained its Zero OAI status.

Complex Hospital Generics (CHG):
The CHG segment saw 17% revenue growth, maintaining leadership in key therapies. In inhalation anesthesia, Piramal Pharma retained a 48% value share for Sevoflurane in the US market and showed encouraging traction across select ex-US markets. The company also maintained its number one position in the US intrathecal Baclofen market. Supplies of Kenalog® are expected to start from Q2 FY27.

Piramal Consumer Healthcare (PCH):
The PCH business delivered 15% growth, driven by strategic initiatives across its portfolio. Power Brands grew by 23% year-on-year and contributed 53% of the segment's sales. E-commerce grew by 40% year-on-year, accounting for 28% of PCH sales. The business focused on profitable growth through premiumization, judicious pricing, and cost optimization initiatives to mitigate raw material inflation.

Strategic Developments and Future Outlook
