
Oil India Limited Achieves Record Quarterly Standalone PAT, Driven by 11% Growth in Crude Production
Oil India Limited, a Maharatna CPSE of the Government of India, reported robust financial results for Q1 FY27 following its Board of Directors meeting held on August 7, 2026. The company registered its highest ever Standalone Profit After Tax (PAT) in Q1 FY27, demonstrating strong performance across both standalone and consolidated metrics.The Company recorded a Standalone PAT of ₹ 2,870 Crore for Q1 FY27, significantly up from ₹ 813 Crore recorded in Q1 FY26. This substantial increase reflected an estimated 2.5 times year-on-year growth, supported by improved crude oil price realization at USD 98.73/bbl and a 11% rise in crude oil production.
Consolidated financial results also showed massive growth, with the company achieving a Consolidated PAT of ₹ 4,027 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to ₹ 2,047 crore in Q1 FY26, marking a 97% year-on-year jump.
Oil India Limited continued its commitment to National Energy Security by producing 0.950 MMT of crude oil from its matured oilfields during Q1FY27, up from 0.853 MMT in the corresponding quarter of Q1 FY26. The company also reported achieving a daily record crude oil production of 10,921 MT (84,109 bbl) on June 27, 2026.
The financial performance was bolstered by operational results from its subsidiary NRL. NRL achieved a robust 167% growth in PAT during Q1FY27, reaching ₹ 1,305 crore from ₹ 488 crore in Q1 FY26. During this period, NRL recorded a Gross Refining Margin (GRM) of $35.95/bbl, up from $5.02/bbl, and maintained a Distillate Yield of 87.58%, compared to 85.38% in Q1 FY26.
In terms of exploration achievements, Oil India Limited reported the discovery of natural gas within the Vijaya Puram-3 exploratory well in the Andaman Basin, which reaffirms the hydrocarbon potential of the basin. Furthermore, the company successfully completed a highly deviated exploratory well in Assam, reaching a record horizontal displacement of 3,116 metres in an onshore well.
