
NCLAT Allows Appeal, Directs Banks to Facilitate Release of Non-Fund-Based Limits for Jyoti Structures Limited
The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), New Delhi Bench, issued an order on May 26, 2026, directing crucial action regarding the non-fund-based limits of Jyoti Structures Limited. The NCLAT allowed an appeal filed against an order previously passed by the Hon'ble National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Mumbai.The appeal pertains to a contempt matter concerning the release and disbursal of non-fund-based (NFB) limits to the company.
Under the NCLAT's directive, the company has been granted the ability to request the release or disbursal of the NFB Limits from the concerned appellant banks. Furthermore, the banks have been directed to cooperate fully and respond to the company within one month of receiving such a request.
The NCLAT also granted liberty to Jyoti Structures Limited. If the company remains aggrieved by the response received from the appellant banks, it has the freedom to revive its contempt application before the NCLT.
