Uno Minda Ltd. has received approval from the Ministry of Heavy Industries regarding a proposed investment by lnovance Automotive (HK) Investment Co. Ltd. into its subsidiary, Uno Minda Auto Innovations Pvt. Ltd.The company confirmed that it obtained the necessary approval on June 19, 2026. This authorization was granted by the Ministry of Heavy Industries, under Press Note 3 of 2020 issued by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Uno Minda Auto Innovations Pvt. Ltd., which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Uno Minda Ltd., will be involved in this proposed investment by lnovance HK. This follows an earlier communication regarding the matter provided on February 17, 2025.
The receipt of approval from the Ministry of Heavy Industries marks a significant interim step for the project. However, the proposed investment by lnovance HK is conditional and remains subject to obtaining necessary regulatory, statutory, and governmental approvals in the relevant foreign jurisdictions, specifically China and Hong Kong.
