Metropolis Healthcare Reports Strong Q1FY27 Performance with Revenue Reaching ₹450 Crore

Metropolis Healthcare Limited, India's second-largest pathology laboratory chain, announced its unaudited consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company reported a significant increase in revenue and improved operating profitability during the first quarter of the financial year 2027.

The healthcare diagnostics firm saw revenue from operations climb to ₹450.2 crore, marking a strong performance. Concurrently, EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹113.2 crore, reflecting robust growth across key segments and operational efficiencies.

Q1FY27 Operational Highlights

Metropolis reported sustained demand reflected in patient volume growing 10% year-over-year (YoY). Test volume also increased by 11% YoY.

The company’s revenue streams showed varied growth rates:
  • B2C revenue grew by 18% YoY, attributed to expanding digital engagement and targeted micro-marketing efforts, supported by the brand's strong pull.
  • B2B revenue saw a 15% increase YoY, driven by an improved business quality and a wider network of clinicians and institutions.

Segment performance strengthened within specialized diagnostics. TruHealth revenue grew 22% YoY to INR 81 crore (representing 18% of the segment mix). Specialty revenue increased 17% YoY to INR 178 crore, accounting for 40% of the segment mix. The portfolio also witnessed high growth in premium offerings, with premium TruHealth packages growing over 50%, and radiology-integrated wellness packages increasing by more than 40%.

At a micro level, Revenue per Patient (RPP) increased 6% YoY, while Revenue per Test (RPT) improved by 5% YoY. This improvement was linked to a richer test mix and higher contributions from specialized diagnostics.

Geographic performance highlighted Tier III cities as fastest-growing markets, with revenue increasing around 25% YoY. These figures contrast against 11% growth in Tier I cities and 14% growth in Tier II cities, indicating significant growth opportunities beyond major metropolitan areas.
