MCX Imposes Monetary Penalty of ₹3,20,000 on IIFL Capital Services Ltd for Authorised Persons' Deficiencies​

The Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) has imposed a monetary penalty aggregating to ₹3,20,000/- against Authorised Persons (APs) of IIFL Capital Services Limited. The action stemmed from the MCX inspection of the Company’s APs and related observations regarding fund movements and inspection scope.

The penalty letter was received by IIFL Capital Services Limited on July 24, 2026. According to the disciplinary action taken by MCX, the penalties were distributed across various violations observed during the review period from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025.

The MCX investigation identified two main areas of violation. Firstly, the APs were observed not providing satisfactory clarification concerning funds transactions recorded in their bank accounts. Secondly, deficiencies were noted during an inspection conducted by the Company regarding one Authorised Person, specifically related to non-coverage of the prescribed inspection scope and applicable regulatory requirements.

The imposed monetary penalties will be recovered from the concerned APs. The company reported that apart from the specified penalty, there is no material impact on its financial or operational activities.

On Friday, shares of IIFL Capital Services Limited slipped slightly, settling at ₹340.20 after falling 0.03% from the previous close. The equity saw a trading volume of 401,303 shares during the session.
