McLeod Russel India Accepts Debt Restructuring Sanction from NARCL​

McLeod Russel India Limited announced on April 10, 2026, its acceptance of a Sanction Letter from National Asset Reconstruction Company Ltd (NARCL). The agreement pertains to the restructuring of the company's debt.

NARCL represents approximately 75.02% of the total lenders' value as recorded on December 31, 2025. The company is simultaneously engaged in discussions with the remaining lenders, who collectively represent 24.98%, regarding restructuring or settlement terms.

As per the terms outlined in the sanction letter, McLeod Russel India Limited must pay sustainable debt amounting to Rs. 1,050 crores to NARCL on or before February 15, 2029. Furthermore, the restructuring package includes a provision where NARCL will receive 10% new equity shares of the Company on a fully diluted basis. This conversion of debt and pledge of Promoter shareholding is subject to any necessary approvals.
