Maruti Suzuki Announces Q1 Financial Results for FY 2026-27 and Approves CBG Manufacturing Projects

Maruti Suzuki India Limited today announced its financial performance for the first quarter (Q1) of the fiscal year 2026-27 (April-June), confirming a significant rise in sales volume. The company also approved four new projects related to Compressed Biogas (CBG) manufacturing.

The Board of Directors reported that total sales volume grew by 29.3% compared to the corresponding period last year. Sales growth was distributed across segments, with domestic small cars sales increasing by 34.1%, SUVs up by 44.6%, and exports growing by 28.6%.

The company's domestic market share saw a rise of 2.3 percentage points, reaching 41.2%. This improved performance was attributed to the commissioning of Maruti Suzuki India Limited’s second plant in Kharkhoda. Despite the increased sales volume, the network inventory level at the close of the quarter stood at approximately 13 days.

Financial Performance Highlights

Net Sales for the quarter showed a marked increase, growing by 36%. Net Sales reached INR 499,591 million in Q1 FY 2026-27, up from INR 366,206 million recorded in Q1 FY 2025-26.

However, the company's net profit for the quarter decreased to INR 33,521 million, compared to INR 37,581 million reported in Q1 FY 2025-26. This decline was noted as a result of rising material costs throughout the quarter and aggravated during wartime conditions.
