Mamata Machinery's RecTech™ Film Achieves 100% Recyclability Certification in European Union

Ahmedabad, India – August 4, 2026 – Mamata Machinery Limited, a recognized leader in the flexible packaging industry and a global provider of machinery solutions, announced that its advanced recyclable packaging film, 'RecTech™', has received certification for 100% recyclability from Institut cyclos-HTP GmbH. The Germany-based institute conducts recyclability assessment and certification for the material.

The certification validates RecTech™, an advanced monomaterial film engineered to provide superior barrier protection and mechanical performance compared to conventional non-recyclable composite film structures. This film was first introduced at Plastindia 2026 in February of this year, following various tests conducted across India and internationally to confirm its functionality and recyclability.

The European certification adds international weight to the existing set of credentials validating RecTech™. Previously, the film's recyclability had been certified in India by CIPET, Bengaluru (certification dated May 22, 2026), while its functional performance regarding oxygen and water vapour barrier was certified by the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) in Kolkata.

The commercial viability of RecTech™ is further bolstered by pending certification from the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR), USA. Together with the various validations received, these credentials strengthen the case for brand owners and converters looking to adopt a scalable and competitive recyclable packaging solution.
