Magellanic Cloud Secures ₹6.93 Crore Order from South Central Railway, Boosting Rail Surveillance Portfolio

Magellanic Cloud Ltd, through its wholly owned subsidiary Provigil Surveillance Limited, has significantly reinforced its presence in India's critical railway surveillance and security infrastructure segment after securing a substantial new order from the South Central Railway, Vijayawada Division.

The latest contract, valued at ₹6.93 crore, arrives shortly after the company secured an earlier railway surveillance project worth ₹6.25 crore from the same division. This new assignment brings the cumulative value of railway surveillance orders won from South Central Railway, Vijayawada Division to ₹13.18 crore within a single week.

The scope of the new Letter of Acceptance (LOA) involves the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning (SITC) of advanced IP-based CCTV surveillance systems. These systems will cover 15 railway stations under the Vijayawada Division, including Vijayawada, Tenali, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Rajahmundry, Kakinada, Gudivada, Bhimavaram, Narasapur, and Machilipatnam.

The project encompasses the deployment of IP-based CCTV cameras, Network Video Recorders (NVRs), optical fibre connectivity, networking infrastructure, and associated Signalling & Telecommunication (S&T) works, with execution scheduled over the next 12 months.

This contract aligns with Magellanic Cloud’s strategic focus on expanding its offerings in AI-enabled video surveillance, Video Management Systems (VMS), and intelligent public safety solutions across critical sectors. The project is expected to enhance operational visibility and support improved incident management as Indian Railways continues its modernization drive toward smart infrastructure.

Commenting on the development, Joseph Sudheer Thumma, Managing Director and Global CEO of Magellanic Cloud Limited, stated that winning another order from South Central Railway so soon after the previous award serves as a strong endorsement of their execution capabilities. He noted that these consecutive orders reflect the company's ability to consistently deliver high-quality surveillance solutions, emphasizing the long term opportunities presented by investments in passenger safety and digital transformation within the railway sector.
