KPI Green Energy Energizes 965 MWp of Renewable Capacity

KPI Green Energy Limited has energized an additional 376 MWp of capacity, bringing its total energized capacity under its Independent Power Producer (IPP) portfolio to 965 MWp. The additional capacity includes approximately 182 MWp of solar capacity in the GUVNL 250/350 MWp project and approximately 164 MWp of solar capacity and 30 MWp of wind capacity in the GUVNL 370 MW/677 MWp project.

The company’s IPP portfolio totals 2.17 GWp, with the remaining capacity currently under execution and expected to be commissioned in a phased manner. This progress reinforces KPI Green's position as a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) and highlights its project development and delivery capabilities.

Key Project Developments

Several projects have marked significant milestones for KPI Green:
  • 200 MW/240 MWp Khavda Solar IPP Project: Commissioned in January 2026, injecting power under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
  • 50 MW/92 MWp Hybrid Renewable Energy IPP: Achieved early commissioning ahead of schedule in July 2026, demonstrating the company's execution capabilities in hybrid renewable projects.
  • 620 MW/1027 MWp Solar and Hybrid Renewable Energy IPP: KPI executed PPAs with GUVNL and has energized 181 MW / 251 MWp capacity in the 250 MW/350 MWp solar IPP project, with full completion targeted for October 2026. Furthermore, 110 MW AC / 164 MWp solar capacity and 29.70 MW wind capacity have been energized under the 370 MW/677 MWp hybrid project.
  • 150 MW Wind IPP Project: Financial closure achieved for the project with a PPA signed with GUVNL in November 2025. Commissioning is expected by October 2027.
  • 445 MW / 890 MWh Standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS): KPI Green’s subsidiary, Sun Drops Energia Limited, executed a Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA) with GUVNL.
