KPI Green Energy Appoints New Directors and Reappoints Independent Director at Board Meeting​

KPI Green Energy Limited announced key changes to its board composition following a Board Meeting held on May 15, 2026. The company approved the appointment of Mr. Rajesh Shrivastava as an Additional Director and Whole Time Director, alongside the re-appointment of Mrs. Venu Birappa as an Independent Director for a second term.

Appointment of Mr. Rajesh Shrivastava​

Mr. Rajesh Shrivastava was appointed as the Additional and Whole Time Director of KPI Green Energy Limited. His appointment is effective from May 15, 2026, for a period of five years, pending shareholder approval.

Mr. Shrivastava brings extensive experience in India's power, infrastructure, and renewable energy sectors, spanning nearly 37 years. His professional background includes leading major energy transition, EPC, and infrastructure development initiatives.

Details regarding his professional background include:

• Experience: Mr. Shrivastava has been associated with over 30 GW of power projects across fossil fuel and renewable energy domains, including over 10 GW of renewable energy projects under development and execution.
• Previous Roles: Prior to this appointment, he served as President & Business Head - Renewable Energy Development at Reliance New Energy, where he was involved in developing a large-scale renewable energy ecosystem in Kutch involving 150 GWp of solar capacity. Earlier, as CEO of Aditya Birla Renewables, he guided the rapid scale-up of the renewable business portfolio from 600+ MW to over 3.0 GW.
• Expertise: He has significant leadership experience with companies including Adani Green Energy, Toshiba JSW Power Systems, and NTPC, where he managed large EPC projects and digital project management systems.

Re-appointment of Mrs. Venu Birappa​

The Board also approved the re-appointment of Mrs. Venu Birappa as an Independent Director. This re-appointment is set for a second term of five consecutive years, effective from August 3, 2026, and is also subject to shareholder approval.

Mrs. Birappa brings nearly four decades of experience to the company from the Power Sector. Her expertise covers regulatory, legal, financial, commercial, and technical aspects of transmission, system operation, and distribution.

• Early Career: She began her career in 1984 with the erstwhile Gujarat Electricity Board (GEB) and served as Executive Engineer (Regulatory & Commerce) at Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO) until July 2021.
• Regulatory Involvement: Mrs. Birappa played a key role in the formulation of regulations under the Electricity Act, 2003, and has actively handled matters related to transmission agreements, tariff regulations, and open access.
• Legal Representation: She has represented GETCO in regulatory and judicial proceedings before multiple forums, including the Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC) and the Supreme Court of India.
