JSW Green Mobility Invests in Lithium Urban to Accelerate EV Fleet and Charging Infrastructure Expansion

JSW Green Mobility has made a strategic investment into Lithium Urban Technologies, marking a significant move to bolster the future of electric mobility within India. This partnership is set to fuel the next phase of growth for Lithium, focusing heavily on expanding its electric vehicle (EV) fleet and enhancing its robust charging network capabilities.

Lithium Urban operates as an integrated enterprise mobility platform, offering critical solutions spanning EV fleets, advanced charging infrastructure, fleet intelligence systems, and centralized operational command. The transaction details remain undisclosed, but the strategic partnership underscores a major push towards scaling sustainable mobility solutions in the country.

Scaling Electric Mobility Infrastructure and Fleets

The company currently demonstrates substantial operational capacity. Lithium manages over 25,000 trips daily, supported by a network of more than 3,000 vehicles and 1,300 chargers. It serves more than 100 enterprise customers across various sectors.

Don Thomas, Chief Executive Officer of Lithium Urban Technologies, highlighted the fundamental shift underway in India's commercial mobility sector. He stated that the opportunity is not merely about vehicle replacement but building the necessary infrastructure, operating systems, and technology required for electrification to succeed at scale.

The Need for Integrated Mobility Platforms

The investment solidifies the industry trend towards integrated solutions. Dhanpal Jhaveri, Chief Executive Officer of Eversource Capital, noted that mobility is increasingly becoming an ecosystem play. He stressed that value will accrue not just to individual assets but to platforms capable of integrating operations, infrastructure, and technology at scale.

Lithium has established a business with strong operating foundations. The investment from JSW Green Mobility provides significant headroom for growth by combining fleets, charging infrastructure, intelligent mobility systems, and centralized operational oversight within one platform. This integrated approach, he added, makes the capabilities difficult to replicate on a large scale.

Partnerships Driving Future Growth in Clean Mobility

Parth Jindal of the JSW Group expressed excitement over the partnership. He stated that India's mobility landscape is undergoing a structural transformation, driven by rapid urbanization and electrification. The future, he believes, will be shaped by technology-led mobility platforms offering operational efficiency and reliability.

Lithium Urban Technologies plans to leverage this strategic backing to accelerate electric fleet deployment and expand its charging infrastructure. They are focused on strengthening the technology capabilities that underpin their platform, helping drive the market transition toward organized, reliable, and safe mobility options.
