JLR Reports Q1 FY27 Sales: Wholesale and Retail Volumes Reflect Market Headwinds

Jaguar Land Rover Automotive plc (JLR) has reported its wholesale and retail sales figures for the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2027 (Q1 FY27), covering the three months ended June 30, 2026. The company noted that Q1 volumes faced various headwinds, including temporary supply constraints, market disruption linked to Middle East conflicts, and planned model wind-downs ahead of Jaguar Type 01's launch.

Wholesale and Retail Performance Summary

Wholesale sales for the first quarter totaled 79,300 units (excluding the Chery Jaguar Land Rover China JV), representing a decline of 9.2% year-on-year and 16.8% compared to Q4 FY26. Retail sales, which included CJLR, reached 80,000 units, marking a 15.3% drop compared to the prior year and 13.8% decline from Q4 FY26.

The company noted that wholesale volumes were impacted by factors such as a fire at a major component supplier early in the quarter.
