JK Lakshmi Cement Limited Receives Order Regarding Goods and Services Tax

JK Lakshmi Cement Limited announced it received an order from the Office of Additional Commissioner, Goods and Services Tax (GST) Department in Rajasthan on March 31, 2026.

The order follows a Show Cause Notice issued on September 18, 2025, alleging wrongful availment of Input Tax Credit (ITC) between April 2019 and March 2023. After adjudication, the GST Department dropped a significant portion of the demand, amounting to ₹252.32 lakh. However, a demand of ₹11.52 lakh, along with an equivalent penalty, was upheld.

The company has initiated the process of filing an appeal against the disallowance of ₹11.52 lakh. The incident involved the GST Department disallowing excess Input Tax Credit (ITC). There are no expected financial implications related to this matter.
