
IRFC Reports Strongest-Ever Quarterly Performance in Q1 FY 2026-27, Highlights Record Net Worth and Zero NPA
Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd (IRFC), a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, announced unaudited financial results for the first quarter (Q1) of Fiscal Year 2026-27, ending June 30, 2026. The corporation's profitability saw a strong jump, with Profit After Tax (PAT) reaching Rs. 1,927.21 crore. This figure compared favorably to the Rs. 1,745.69 crore reported in Q1 FY 2025-26, marking a year-on-year growth of 10.40% and establishing a new quarterly record for the company.

IRFC’s financial strength continued to grow, with its net worth rising to a record Rs. 58,791.95 crore as of June 30, 2026, up from Rs. 56,748.76 crore recorded on March 31, 2026.In terms of operational efficiency, the corporation maintained a zero-NPA status, sustaining its clean loan book amidst expanded lending activities across railway-linked sectors. The Net Interest Margin (NIM) for the quarter stood at 1.48% (annualised). Assets Under Management (AUM) were reported at Rs. 4.79 lakh crore as of June 30, 2026, compared to Rs. 4.85 lakh crore on March 31, 2026.

Manoj Kumar Dubey, Chairman and Managing Director of IRFC, commented on the results, stating that Q1 FY 2026-27 demonstrated a strong start for the year. The results reaffirm the robustness of IRFC's diversification strategy under "IRFC 2.0" and its sustained commitment to maintaining high-quality assets and zero non-performing loans.Looking ahead, IRFC anticipates that its diversification approach will continue to drive improved spreads and profitability throughout FY 2026-27.
