IRB Infra Share Price Climbs Following Bonus Issue​

Mumbai, March 30, 2026 – IRB Infrastructure Developers (IRB Infra) saw its share price surge nearly 11% on Monday, March 30, following the stock turning ex-bonus for its 1:1 bonus share issue. The stock closed at ₹22.70 on the BSE, marking an intraday high of ₹22.70.

Bonus Issue Details​

IRB Infra had approved a 1:1 bonus issue on February 13, 2026. This means that for every one fully paid-up equity share held by shareholders, they will receive one additional bonus equity share of Re.1/- each. The record date for determining eligible shareholders was fixed for Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Investors who purchased the stock on or after this date will qualify for the additional shares.

  • March 23, 2026: Shareholders approved the issuance of bonus equity shares through a postal ballot.

The stock has declined approximately 51% over the last 12 months, 47% in the past three months, and 33% in the last month. The stock’s 52-week high was ₹27.19 (as of June 2025), while its 52-week low was ₹18.50 (as of March 2026).

Financial Performance​

IRB Infrastructure Developers reported a significant 96.5% year-on-year (YoY) decline in consolidated net profit to ₹210.71 crore for the December quarter, compared with ₹6,026.11 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal. This decline was primarily attributed to the implementation of the new labour code, resulting in a one-time impact of ₹42.7 crore. Excluding exceptional items, profit after tax (PAT) rose 14% YoY to ₹253 crore, compared with ₹222 crore in the year-ago period. Revenue from operations decreased 7.6% YoY to ₹1,871.17 crore.

IRB Infrastructure Developers operates in India and has an asset base of approximately ₹80,000 crore spread across 12 states.

Previous Stock Split​

In February 2023, the company undertook a stock split, dividing one equity share of face value ₹10 into 10 equity shares of face value Re 1 each.
