US Accused of Provoking War to Preserve Global Dominance Amid Escalating Gulf Conflict

Iranian Leader’s Representative Claims US Seeks to Block Rise of India, China and Russia

A representative of Iran’s late supreme leader has accused the United States of provoking wars to maintain a unilateral global power structure and prevent emerging nations from gaining influence.

Abdul Majid Hakeem Ilahi, identified as a representative of the late Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, claimed that Washington is waging war not solely against Iran but to curb the future rise of countries such as India, China and Russia.

Speaking to ANI, Ilahi said that global power dynamics are expected to shift in the near future, with India, China, Russia and the United States emerging as the most powerful nations. He alleged that the US does not want strategic partners and is unwilling to see India or China grow stronger. According to him, America creates wars to prevent this transition of power and will target other countries after Iran.

“The aim of America is not Iran, but after Iran, it will come to other countries,” he said.

Operation Epic Fury Intensifies Gulf War

The remarks come as tensions in the Gulf region enter their fifth day of intense military confrontation. The conflict escalated on February 28 when the United States launched Operation Epic Fury in coordination with Israel to strike Iranian targets.

US and Israeli forces have carried out large scale airstrikes on Iranian military and government installations, including locations in Tehran. In response, Iran has launched missile and drone attacks targeting US military bases and allied assets across the Gulf region.

The exchange of heavy airstrikes and missile fire has led to rising casualties and heightened instability across the region.

Strait of Hormuz Under Threat as Markets React

The conflict has also sent shockwaves through global financial markets, particularly in the oil, energy and defence sectors. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have moved to shut the strategic Strait of Hormuz, claiming full control over the vital oil and gas shipping lane.

The waterway is one of the world’s most critical energy transit routes. Iranian forces have warned that they may target vessels using the passage, further escalating concerns over global energy supply disruptions.

As the war continues, geopolitical tensions remain high, with mounting uncertainty over the broader regional and global consequences of the unfolding conflict.
