IndusInd Bank Responds to News Report on SFIO Investigation​

IndusInd Bank Ltd. clarified its position regarding a news item published on economictimes.com on March 30, 2026, concerning an investigation by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO).

The bank previously disclosed on December 18, 2025, that matters related to the accounting of internal derivative trades, unsubstantiated balances in 'other assets' and 'other liabilities' accounts, and micro finance interest/fee income were reported to the SFIO on June 2, 2025. The SFIO had engaged in telephonic discussions with bank officials at the time and was awaiting written communication.

Subsequently, on December 24, 2025, IndusInd Bank received a letter from the SFIO initiating an investigation under section 212 of the Companies Act, 2013, and requesting relevant information.

According to the latest clarification, the bank has not received any communication from the SFIO regarding the summoning of employees, as reported in the news item. The SFIO may be directly issuing summons or notices to individuals as part of its ongoing investigation.

IndusInd Bank reaffirmed its commitment to fulfilling its disclosure obligations.
