Indo Borax & Chemicals Ltd., a leading manufacturer of boron-based chemicals in India, reported a significant surge in net profit on a consolidated basis for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company posted a net profit of Rs 16.25 crore, marking a strong performance compared to the Rs 10.20 crore recorded during the same period last year.

The robust results were attributed to high demand and improved operational efficiencies within the market. Consolidated operating income saw a rise of 31.34 per cent, reaching Rs 70.36 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to Rs 53.57 crore in Q1 FY26. EBITDA for the quarter was also strong at Rs 19.80 crore, up from Rs 12.21 crore the previous year.

The company witnessed substantial growth in both margins during the quarter. The EBITDA margin improved by 530 basis points to 28.1 per cent, while the PAT margin increased by 430 basis points to 22.3 per cent against Q1 FY26 results.

Operational Highlights and Strategic Moves​

Mr. Suresh Katra, Managing Director & CEO of Indo Borax, highlighted that the boron-based chemicals market in India is experiencing robust demand across various applications, including steel, glass, ceramics, agriculture, electronics, and detergents. He stated that the company’s advanced manufacturing capabilities allowed it to meet this demand effectively.

"Our capacity utilisation has been extremely robust, and improved operational efficiency has strengthened our bottom line," Mr. Katra commented, adding that they expect to maintain this growth momentum moving forward.

In a related strategic development, the Board of Directors approved the amalgamation of its wholly owned subsidiary, Indo Borax Infrastructure Private Ltd., with Indo Borax Chemicals. This consolidation is planned to help create greater efficiency through pooling resources and streamline governance, facilitating faster decision-making within the combined entity. The proposed amalgamation remains subject to necessary approvals from NCLT and other regulatory authorities.
