Indian Overseas Bank Confirms Security Cover Status as All Listed Non-Convertible Debt Securities are Unsecured​

Indian Overseas Bank has confirmed the security cover status of its debt instruments following the preparation of a certificate detailing the bank's financial standing. The certificate, covering the quarter ended on June 30, 2026, addressed the maintenance of Security Cover as required under applicable regulations.

A key finding noted in the documentation is that all outstanding listed non-convertible debt securities issued by Indian Overseas Bank are unsecured in nature.

The bank's management was responsible for computing and extracting the data related to security cover from the Standalone Financial results, which were subjected to a limited review by the Statutory Central Auditors of the Bank. The management affirmed compliance with various provisions including the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, and associated SEBI regulations.

Independent auditors reviewed the books and accounts regarding the data of Security Cover as on June 30, 2026. They reported that the data related to Security Cover had been accurately extracted from the standalone unaudited financial statements for the quarter ended on June 30, 2026, and the relevant books and records of the Bank.

In addition to the security cover assessment, the unaudited financial results of the bank for the specified period were jointly reviewed by the auditors, resulting in an unmodified conclusion dated July 20, 2026. This review was conducted in accordance with international standards for reviewing interim financial information.
