New Delhi, March 26 – Nokia has announced key leadership changes in India, effective April 1, appointing Samar Mittal as India Country Business Leader and Vibha Mehra as India Country Manager.

The changes are part of Nokia’s renewed strategy to strengthen its presence and sharpen its business focus within the Indian market. Samar Mittal will lead Nokia’s business strategy in India, concentrating on expanding partnerships with telecom operators, alongside players in artificial intelligence, cloud services, and critical enterprise sectors. He will also identify new growth opportunities and align Nokia’s offerings with the evolving needs of the Indian market. Vibha Mehra will oversee Nokia’s overall presence in India, managing communications, government relations, and public engagement. Her responsibilities will also encompass guiding the company’s corporate social responsibility initiatives and internal people strategy.
Both leaders bring extensive experience to their respective roles. Samar Mittal has nearly three decades of experience in the telecom and IT sectors and previously led Nokia’s Cloud and Network Services business in the Middle East and Africa. Vibha Mehra has over 26 years of experience, having worked with companies including Microsoft, Intel, and Tata Consultancy Services. Most recently, she headed government relations for Nokia in the Asia Pacific region.
Nokia stated that this leadership structure reflects its long-term commitment to India and its ambition to play a leading role in shaping a more digital, sustainable, and efficient future for the country. The company intends to advance connectivity and digital growth in India through this strategic realignment.
