
Independent Director Naveen Prakash Resigns from India Power Corporation Limited
India Power Corporation Limited announced that Mr. Naveen Prakash has tendered his resignation as a Non-Executive Independent Director of the company. The departure comes amidst operational updates regarding the entity, which is currently under Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) at the NCLT, Hyderabad Bench-I.Mr. Prakash submitted his resignation with effect from the close of business hours on July 31, 2026. He cited personal and professional commitments as the reason for stepping down from his role.
The company confirmed that Mr. Naveen Prakash’s decision was due to increased commitment and time constraints arising from a new appointment. The Director has been appointed by the Government of West Bengal as Chairman of the 7 State Pay Commission.
Mr. Prakash thanked the Chairperson, fellow Board members, and the management team for their cooperation and support during his tenure with India Power Corporation Limited.
