The outcome of the appeal for AY 2017-18, Order No. ITBA/NFAC/S/250/2026-27/1092388988(1) dated August 20, 2026, concerned penalty imposition regarding the alleged underreporting of total income. Similarly, Order No. ITBA/NFAC/S/250/2026-27/1092361842(1) dated August 20, 2026, confirmed the penalty for AY 2018-19 due to underreported total income.

In response to these developments, ESAB India Limited has stated that it will be preferring an appeal against the Orders of the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals).
