ICICI Prudential receives NOC from IRDAI for planned name change​

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). The approval allows the company to proceed with changing its corporate name.

The regulatory authority granted the NOC on August 7, 2026. Based on this certificate, the company can change its name to 'ICICI Life Insurance Limited' or any other name permitted by the Registrar of Companies (ROC) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, provided that new name includes the word 'Insurance'.

The issuance of the NOC is crucial for the listed entity as it enables ICICI Prudential to register the proposed new name with the ROC, Ministry of Corporate Affairs. This action allows the company to formalize its corporate identity change following the regulatory sign-off.
