Hindustan Organic Chemicals Ltd (HOCL) has announced a temporary shutdown of its Hydrogen Peroxide plant located in Kochi, Kerala. The decision comes after the company assessed market conditions, citing significant increases in raw material prices coupled with low demand within the market.

The plant, a key operational facility for HOCL, will begin its temporary closure starting June 3, 2026.

Management stated that the company will actively monitor prevailing market conditions. They plan to take appropriate measures necessary for the reopening of the Hydrogen Peroxide plant at the earliest opportunity. The specific date for the plant's resumption of operations is scheduled to be communicated separately in due course.
