Business Segment Performance
The company showcased momentum across its various business segments:Energy Solutions: This segment delivered 21% revenue growth year-on-year. Demand remained healthy across infrastructure, manufacturing, and industrial applications. Notably, domestic sales of the Medium Horsepower (MHP) genset portfolio grew by 32%, and a BESS pilot was commissioned to bolster the integrated solutions portfolio.
Mobility Solutions: This business recorded an 18% year-on-year revenue growth, driven by robust performance in key areas. Automotive engines grew 36% YoY, while Engineered Components achieved 14% YoY growth, supported by steady export momentum and new orders secured from OEMs like Caterpillar UK and TAFE.
Industrial Solutions: This segment witnessed sustained demand across defence, marine, and agricultural applications, strengthening customer engagement with specialised industrial OEM partners.
International Business: The international operations contributed 13% to the core business revenue. A regional hub was established in Dubai, UAE through the incorporation of Greaves International Trading FZE to enhance distribution capabilities across the Middle East and Africa.
Focus on Future-Ready Businesses
Greaves Electric Mobility strengthened its market position with sustained network expansion and portfolio enhancements. VAHAN volumes in electric two-wheelers more than doubled, showing a 101% year-on-year increase in Q1 FY27. The market share for VAHAN increased to 5.6% as of June '26 from 4.3% in FY26. In the three-wheeler segment, L5 VAHAN volumes grew 39% YoY, with electric L5 volumes nearly doubling.The company reported that its rights issue, which amounted to approximately INR 331 crore, has been fully subscribed by Greaves Cotton Limited.
Meanwhile, Greaves Finance continued growing its trajectory. Assets Under Management (AUM) crossed ₹560 crore, up from ₹521 crore in March '26, and the company expanded its reach through 12 new locations. Furthermore, Greaves Cotton subscribed to a rights issue of ₹50 crore to support the company's expansion phase.
