Operational Updates and Incidents
The Company noted two significant operational events during the reporting period: a planned shutdown and an incident at its Muzaffarnagar plant.A planned shutdown, lasting for 16 days, was undertaken at the Moradabad Plant to facilitate capital expenditure (capex), overhauling, and maintenance work.
During the quarter, a fire occurred on May 24, 2026, at the raw material stock yard of the Muzaffarnagar plant, causing damage to the company's raw material inventory. The company recognized a loss of Rs. 1,882.33 Lakhs concerning the damaged inventory for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
The incident was fully insured, and the Company recognized an insurance claim receivable equivalent to the incurred losses. These associated losses and receivables were presented on a net basis (Rs. NIL) under exceptional items in the financial results. Management confirmed that the insurance claim is currently undergoing survey by the insurance company, with management confident of full recovery. The company is also in the process of determining its final claim for losses related to business interruption.
