Gaudium IVF Introduces AI-Led Infertility Treatment, Marking Industry First in India
New Delhi, April 1, 2026 – Gaudium IVF, a leading fertility healthcare provider in India, has introduced an artificial intelligence (AI)-led infertility treatment, marking an industry first in the country. This development follows the company recently becoming India's first publicly listed IVF chain. The innovation involves integrating advanced AI-driven embryology systems, including SiD (Sperm Identification Device) and ERICA (Embryo Ranking Intelligent Classification Assistant), into routine clinical practice. Gaudium IVF collaborated with IVF 2.0, a UK-headquartered embryology innovation organization founded by Dr. Jacques Cohen and Dr. Alejandro Chave.
Hon'ble Union Minister Shri Nitin Jairam Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, inaugurated the new technology and emphasized the role of innovation and technology in shaping the nation’s future.
Dr. Manika Khanna, Chairperson and Managing Director, Gaudium IVF, stated, "Fertility care is entering a new era where precision and intelligence will define outcomes. By integrating AI into infertility treatment, Gaudium IVF is improving success rates, bringing greater predictability, transparency, and trust to the patient journey."
Giles Palmer, Clinical Scientist and Director of Global Communications, IVF 2.0, stated, "Our focus has always been to translate embryology intelligence into measurable clinical outcomes. Partnering with Gaudium IVF allows us to bring our AI-driven solutions into a high-growth market like India and set new benchmarks for how reproductive medicine is practised."
The SiD system optimizes sperm selection during fertility treatments by analyzing sperm movement parameters to identify the most viable sperm for fertilization. ERICA, an AI-powered tool, supports embryologists in embryo selection by analyzing blastocyst images based on morphological and developmental characteristics.
Early clinical observations suggest the integration of these AI systems can significantly improve fertilization and blastocyst development rates. Gaudium IVF anticipates this will reduce the need for repeat cycles, lowering the emotional, physical, and financial burden on patients.
