Management Commentary on Performance

Avik Roy, MD & CEO of Exide Industries Limited, commented on the performance, stating that the company entered FY27 with confidence based on the strong momentum from H2 FY26.

He acknowledged the volatile geopolitical environment in West Asia, which contributed to cost volatility across key inputs. To mitigate these challenges and currency depreciation pressure, the company implemented calibrated price adjustments while benefiting from cost excellence initiatives and supply-chain efficiencies.

"Our continued focus on a better sales mix, product innovation and cost-efficiency initiatives enabled EBITDA margin expansion of 20 bps on a YoY basis," Roy stated.
