EIH Associated Hotels Ltd. has detailed its Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) for the Financial Year 2025-26, highlighting significant steps towards environmental stewardship, operational efficiency, and employee well-being within the luxury hospitality industry. The company underscored its commitment to sustainable growth while maintaining high standards of service delivery for guests.

The company reported that its business activities are centered around providing hotel services, including accommodation, food and beverage, with all services accounting for 100% of the entity's turnover. This reinforces its role as a premier luxury hospitality provider serving diverse clientele across various geographical areas.

Environmental Stewardship and Resource Management​

EIH Associated focused extensively on mitigating the environmental impact inherent in intensive hotel operations. The company reported substantial improvements in resource consumption metrics across the reporting year. Energy intensity per rupee of turnover was recorded at 25.98 GJ/INR Million for FY 2025-26, marking a reduction from 32 GJ/INR Million in the previous financial year.

In terms of water management, the company maintained a commitment to resource conservation. Water intensity per rupee of turnover stood at 91.25 KL/INR Million, down from 102 KL/INR Million in FY 2024-25. EIH Associated has successfully implemented a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) mechanism across five hotels in its network, including The Oberoi Rajvilas, Trident Agra, Trident Jaipur, Trident Udaipur, and Trident Bhubaneswar, ensuring that treated water is reused for irrigation and HVAC purposes.

Waste Reduction and Responsible Sourcing​

The company’s waste management practices are guided by the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle (3R) model. Total waste generated amounted to 1,107.15 metric tonnes in FY 2025-26, resulting in a waste intensity of 0.27 MT/INR Million compared to 0.28 MT/INR Million in the previous year.

The company emphasized its procurement practices and supply chain management. It is currently engaged in an ongoing ESG assessment process for suppliers, covering key areas such as health and safety, environmental hazards, and human rights. This assessment targets the top suppliers representing 75% of the company's procurement value. Furthermore, the entity maintains a strict policy of eliminating single-use plastic across all properties by operating its own in-house bottling plants.

Commitment to People and Governance​

EIH Associated reinforced its commitment to employees’ well-being through comprehensive welfare programs and ethical governance. The organization ensures that human rights matters are managed at the highest level, with a designated focal point overseeing these issues.

Key social performance indicators include:
  • Employee Benefits: Health insurance coverage for permanent employees stands at 100%, while grievance redressal is managed through policies such as the Oberoi Code of Conduct and the Whistleblower Policy.
  • Training & Development: A significant majority of employees received training related to P1 (integrity), P5 (human rights) and Health and Safety standards. For example, 96% of Employees other than BOD and KMPs were covered by awareness programs on Principle 1 and P5.

The company also demonstrated its commitment through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). In FY 2025-26, EIH Associated made a CSR Contribution of Rs. 19.77 Million. Initiatives included support for SOS Children's Villages of India, where the company adopted ten family homes, and renovation work conducted at a government school in Jaipur.

The leadership emphasized that responsible business conduct is integrated into its operational structure through the Board’s Risk Management Committee and specialized Green Teams established at each property to drive conservation efforts.
