Eicher Motors Reports Record Annual Sales for Royal Enfield, Announces Manufacturing Capacity Expansion
Chennai: April 1, 2026 – Eicher Motors Ltd. announced that Royal Enfield, its motorcycle division, achieved a record-breaking performance with annual sales surpassing 1.2 million units in the financial year ending March 31, 2026. This marks the second consecutive year the company has crossed the 1 million annual sales threshold.March 2026 sales rose 11% over the corresponding month (March 2025) to 1,12,334 units, allowing the company to close FY'26 at 12,38,659 units, up 23% from FY 2024-25. Domestic sales in this financial year grew 23% to 11,07,343 units while exports rose 23% to 1,31,316 units.

To support this growth, Eicher Motors announced a significant investment of ₹ 958 crores to expand Royal Enfield’s manufacturing capacity at its Cheyyar facility in Tamil Nadu. This expansion will increase the company's annual production capacity from 14.6 lakh units to 20 lakh units.
Managing Director of Eicher Motors Ltd. and CEO of Royal Enfield, B. Govindarajan, commented on the company’s performance, highlighting the launch of new products including the Flying Flea C6 and the company's focus on expanding its international presence, particularly in markets like Brazil.
