Operational Developments and Strategic Focus

The robust revenue growth in Q1 FY27 was driven by strong execution momentum in the Piping & Fittings segment, supported by consistent supplies to the Power sector. The company recorded a record Operating EBITDA of ₹ 50 Crore, translating into an EBITDA margin of 16.9%.

Operational focus has remained on balancing core business strength with non-core activities. Improvements and increased tariffs aided the non-core business, while higher execution levels in the power sector supported the core business.

The biomass pellet facility became operational midway through Q1 FY27, although its initial financial contribution was partial. The company noted that revenue recognition of approximately ₹ 25 crore from certain orders was deferred due to temporary geopolitical disruptions and customer issues; however, as dispatches have since normalized, this deferred revenue is expected in the coming quarter.

Strengthening Balance Sheet and Future Outlook

The successful completion of a ₹ 300 crore preferential issue during the quarter has materially strengthened the company’s balance sheet. Proceeds from this issuance are earmarked for debt repayment, which is anticipated to reduce leverage, improve return ratios, and provide greater financial flexibility.

Mr. Krishan Lalit Bansal, Chairman & Managing Director, commented on the results, stating that Q1 FY27 reflected healthy operating and financial performance driven by strong execution in the core business, especially from the power sector. He noted that the long-term outlook for the core business remains encouraging, underpinned by sustained investment across the power, oil & gas, chemical, and process industries.

The company’s focus is shifting towards improving capacity utilization and driving higher asset turns following the completion of planned expansion capex. The seamless pipe manufacturing facility, which was commissioned in March 2026 as part of a backward integration strategy, and the Anjar pipe fabrication facility, where 30,000 MT of fabrication capacity was added during FY26, are both scaling up to service complex projects.

Regarding non-core power generation, following tariff revision for the 6 MW Muktsar biomass power plant, the applicable tariff increased from ₹ 3.50 per kWh to ₹ 5.224 per kWh in FY26, which strengthens the earnings profile of this business segment.

The Chairman concluded that supported by a healthy project pipeline and enhanced manufacturing capabilities, the company remains confident in its long-term growth trajectory while pursuing a gradual debt reduction path.
