Dalmia Bharat's Subsidiary Receives Release of Attached Land Parcels from Enforcement Directorate

Dalmia Bharat Limited reported that its material wholly owned subsidiary, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), has received orders for the release of its entirely attached land parcels. The action follows an application made by DCBL to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the submission of a bank guarantee.

The attachment proceedings against DCBL originated with a Provisional Attachment Order (PAO) issued by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Hyderabad, on March 31, 2025. This PAO was subsequently confirmed by the Adjudicating Authority, PMLA, on September 22, 2025.

Further proceedings included an appeal before the PMLA Tribunal. The Tribunal issued a final order on March 9, 2026, which partially allowed the appeal. This ruling reduced the amount considered as the Proceeds of Crime (PoC) to Rs.92.52 crs.

In response to this development, DCBL submitted an application to the ED along with a bank guarantee valued at Rs.92.52 crs. The ED subsequently passed an order dated April 21, 2026, which mandated the release of all attached land parcels.

This development significantly reduces the alleged Proceeds of Crime associated with the matter. The reported figures show the following reduction in the alleged PoC:

MetricOriginal Alleged PoCReduced Alleged PoC
ValueRs.793.34 crRs.92.52 crs

As of the date of the report, DCBL is in the process of filing an appeal against the ED's order concerning the alleged PoC of Rs. 92.52 Cr.
