Creative Newtech Receives INR 3,194.83 Crore Advance Work Order for BharatNet Middle Mile Network in Odisha

Creative Newtech Limited has received an Advance Work Order (AWO) from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and its consortium partner. The project concerns the comprehensive development of the BharatNet Middle Mile Network within the Odisha Telecom Circle, with a total project value estimated at approximately INR 3,194.83 crore.

The AWO covers all aspects of the network's life cycle, including Design, Supply, Construction, Installation, Upgradation, Operation, and Maintenance of the BharatNet Middle Mile Network in the designated circle. This project falls under the Government of India's flagship BharatNet programme.

The scope of work involves significant infrastructure modernization. The consortium will be responsible for building new network infrastructure, upgrading existing networks to a ring topology, establishing a State Network Operations Centre, and deploying advanced systems such as fibre monitoring and network management solutions. The initiative aims to support retail, enterprise, and wholesale services, utilizing optical fibre infrastructure and IP-MPLS equipment across thousands of locations in Odisha.

The project is set to strengthen the digital backbone for rural and underserved regions of Odisha, aiding in e-governance, digital education, healthcare services, and fostering business growth and social development within the state.

For Creative Newtech, securing this mandate enhances its standing in large public sector technology programmes. The contract provides visibility across both the implementation phase and the long-term service period, signaling a strategic push into higher value opportunities. The company is reportedly building capabilities in technology integration, infrastructure execution, project governance, and long-term managed services, focusing on emerging areas like AI, IoT, and data center infrastructure.

Commenting on this development, Mr. Ketan Patel, Chairman & Managing Director of Creative Newtech Limited, stated that the BharatNet Odisha project offers a vital opportunity to contribute to one of India's most meaningful digital infrastructure programmes. He emphasized that the connectivity supported by the project is crucial for education, healthcare, and public services across underserved regions, reinforcing the company's commitment to execution excellence and long-term value creation.
