AI-native physical security platform Coram AI has secured $35 million in a substantial Series B funding round. The round was co-led by Ansa Capital and Battery Ventures, boosting the startup’s total funding to $66 million. Existing investors, including UP. Partners, 8VC, and Mosaic Ventures, participated in the financing.

The infusion of capital is set to dramatically accelerate AI product development across Coram's platform. The company also plans significant expansion of its go-to-market strategy and customer success teams. A key focus area will be scaling up engineering presence within India, specifically targeting Bengaluru.

Expanding Global Reach and Market Penetration​

Coram AI continues to demonstrate rapid growth amid this major funding milestone. Since raising its Series A round last year for $13.8 million, the company has quadrupled its revenue. Furthermore, Coram reports tripling its customer base in a short period.

The platform currently services over 1,500 sites across both the United States and Canada. Its client portfolio is diverse, including Fortune 500 companies, municipalities, school districts, healthcare providers, and manufacturers.

AI Integration Modernizes Physical Security Operations​

Founded by IIT Delhi alumni Ashesh Jain and Peter Ondruska, Coram AI develops specialized software utilizing artificial intelligence. This technology modernizes physical security operations across various organizations. The platform successfully integrates multiple functions into one unified interface for clients.

These integrated functions include video surveillance, access control management, visitor management protocols, and emergency response systems. Crucially, the company allows organizations to utilize their existing infrastructure rather than being forced into hardware replacement.

Deep Investigation Capability Unveils New Security Paradigm​

Alongside the funding announcement, Coram AI unveiled "Deep Investigation," a powerful new capability driven by artificial intelligence. This feature employs autonomous agents designed for advanced analysis of security data. The agents scrutinize video footage, access control records, and visitor activity across multiple locations simultaneously.

Coram has stated that this newly launched functionality can drastically reduce the time required for investigations. Tasks that previously took several hours or even weeks are now manageable in just minutes using Deep Investigation.

A Future Where AI Provides Proactive Security​

Ashesh Jain, the co-founder and CEO of Coram AI, emphasized the shift from reactive to proactive security measures. He noted, "Most security systems just record what happened. Only later, after a manual search, might you find the incident."

Jain further elaborated on the potential of integrating advanced AI capabilities into physical protection. He suggested that the same sophisticated AI approaches used by autonomous vehicles to understand their environment can help security teams identify risks preemptively and respond faster.
