Chennai Petroleum Fixes Record Date for Rs 54 Per Share Final Dividend
Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited has announced the record date for its final equity dividend for the financial year 2025-26. The company designated Friday, August 07, 2026, as the record date to determine member eligibility for the dividend.The final equity dividend of Rs 54 per share was recommended by the Board of Directors following a recent Board Meeting. This amount represents 540% on the paid up equity share capital. The dividend is applicable to shares with a face value of Rs 10 each.
If the final dividend is approved during the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM), the payment to eligible members will be made within a stipulated period of 30 days from the date of the AGM.
Members are also advised regarding tax compliance related to the distribution. As mandated by the Income Tax Act, 2025, dividends paid or distributed by the company are taxable in the hands of members. The company is required to deduct tax at source (TDS) during payment. To enable the corporation to determine the applicable TDS rate, members are requested to submit necessary documents on or before Friday, August 14, 2026.
