
CDSL Reports Q1 Growth: Consolidated Income Rises 27% as Assets Under Custody Reach ₹88.2 Lakh Crore
Mumbai, August 01, 2026 – Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL), Asia's first listed depository and a provider of services to over 18 crore demat accounts, announced its audited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The results showed significant growth across key operational metrics and profitability measures.Consolidated total income saw a sharp increase of 27% year-over-year (YoY), while net profit rose by 15% YoY. Furthermore, Assets Under Custody (AUC) reached ₹88.2 Lakh Crore as of the end of the quarter.
The company’s standalone performance reflected strong operational activity during the period. CDSL registered over 18.59 crore demat accounts as of June 30, 2026, an increase from 15.86 crore accounts recorded on June 30, 2025.

In the standalone results, Other income for Q1 FY26-27 was ₹39.50 crore, compared to ₹62 crore in Q1 FY25-26, which included dividend received from a subsidiary.
Governance and Business Milestones
Shri Nehal Vora, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, noted that the quarter underscores CDSL’s continuous focus on building scale and leadership depth. The appointment of new Executive Directors was highlighted as a measure to strengthen the company's capacity across critical operations, technology, risk, compliance, and investor-facing functions.The Governing Board approved the appointments of Shri Amit Mahajan as Executive Director for Vertical 1 (Critical Operations), effective June 11, 2026, and Smt. Nayana Ovalekar as Executive Director for Vertical 2 (Regulatory, Compliance, Risk Management & Investor Grievances). Both roles are set for a term of five years.
In a strategic move toward industry strengthening, CDSL completed an investment of ₹1 crore for a 2% stake in Sahamati Foundation. This foundation is an RBI-recognised Self-Regulatory Organisation dedicated to the Account Aggregator ecosystem, supporting a cross-industry initiative to enhance standards and infrastructure for financial data sharing in India.
