Brookprop Management Services Private Limited, serving as the manager for Brookfield India Real Estate Trust, announced several significant updates regarding its board composition and executive leadership following a meeting of its directors held on June 25, 2026. The announcements included high-profile appointments, noted resignations, and the engagement of an independent valuer.The Board approved the appointment of Ms. Ananya Tripathi as an additional Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director on the board of the Manager, effective June 25, 2026. This appointment is subject to approval by members at the ensuing annual general meeting of the Manager. Ms. Tripathi serves as a Managing Director in Brookfield's Real Estate Group, focusing on driving investment management decisions and operations across the real estate portfolio in the APAC region. Prior experience includes roles as CEO of WhiteHat Jr. and Director at KKR Capstone India. Ms. Tripathi holds a Master of Business Administration degree and is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode.
The Manager also took note of two key departures from its team. Mr. Thomas Jan Sucharda resigned from the Board as a Non-Executive Non-Independent director, effective June 25, 2026, due to his retirement from the Brookfield group. Furthermore, Mr. Amit Jain stepped down from the position of Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel of both the Company and Brookfield India Real Estate Trust, effective July 10, 2026.
To ensure continuity in financial leadership, Brookprop approved the appointment of Mr. Saket Mehta as interim Head of Finance, effective July 11, 2026. In this role, Mr. Mehta will be responsible for discharging the finance function of the Company and Brookfield India Real Estate Trust. Mr. Mehta brings over 22 years of experience across various aspects of finance and operations, including M&A, investor relations, fundraising, portfolio valuations, and financial due diligence. His professional background includes roles at Credit Suisse RBS, Barclays, GE Capital, WNS, and Accenture (Anderson Consulting).
Additionally, the Manager approved the engagement of Valsight Advisors Private Limited as the registered independent valuer for Brookfield India REIT. This one-year appointment covers the financial year 2026-27, mandating the firm to undertake the valuation of all assets owned or to be owned by Brookfield India REIT. Valsight is a firm registered with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) as a valuer for asset classes including Land and Building, Plant and Machinery, and Securities since December 2024. The company serves various clients across multiple sectors, including infrastructure, real estate, power, and manufacturing.
