Britannia Industries Ltd. has announced a change in its senior management team, appointing Mr. Srinivas Maruthi Patnam as the new Vice President - Human Resources. The appointment follows the resignation of the previous incumbent, Mr. Ritesh Rana, who is leaving the company to pursue external opportunities.

The Board of Directors approved the appointment of Mr. Srinivas Maruthi Patnam vide a Circular Resolution passed on April 17, 2026. Mr. Srinivas was designated as the Vice President - Human Resources (Designate) with effect from April 21, 2026, and will officially assume the role of Vice President - Human Resources of the Company starting May 16, 2026.

In related news, the company confirmed the resignation of Mr. Ritesh Rana, Vice President - Human Resources. Mr. Rana submitted his resignation due to personal reasons and stated that his departure will be effective from the close of business hours on May 15, 2026.

Mr. Srinivas Maruthi Patnam brings extensive experience to the role, possessing approximately 26 years of leadership experience across the FMCG and consumer healthcare sectors. His professional history includes a significant eight-year tenure as Vice President & HR Head for Procter & Gamble's India business, where he was instrumental in organization redesign and capability building to support business growth.

Mr. Srinivas’s expertise lies in strategic HR, talent management, and business transformation. His career portfolio is globally diverse, having held leadership roles across India, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia & New Zealand, Singapore (Regional HQ), and Southeast Asia (Jakarta). He also has experience working on global mandates spanning the Middle East, Africa, Japan, and Korea.

He is a recognized HR leader, an alumnus of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), and has been a Board Member of Gillette India for the past four years. Mr. Srinivas’s achievements include being featured in the Economic Times 'Top 50 HR Thought Leaders in India' for two consecutive years. He has received multiple accolades, including 'Best Alumnus Achiever of the Year' from SIBM, 'Best Employer for Wellbeing' (People Matters), and 'Top 10 Best Employers for Women Employees' (AVTAR). He is also a member of the FICCI HR Committee.
