
Brigade Group and Hyatt Announce Plans for Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR and Hyatt House Bengaluru Devanahalli
Bangalore, April 06, 2026 – Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited (BHVL) announced the signing of agreements with Hyatt regarding two major hospitality developments: Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR and Hyatt House Bengaluru Devanahalli.BCV Developers Private Limited, a part of the Brigade Group, signed the management agreement for Hyatt House Bengaluru Devanahalli with Hyatt. Previously, Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited had signed the management agreement with Hyatt for Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR.
Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR is planned to open in 2029 on a beachfront site on the southeastern coast of India. The premier beachfront hotel is set to offer an immersive stay experience featuring approximately 200 guest rooms. Expected facilities include five distinct dining venues, comprising a signature restaurant, two specialty restaurants, a pool bar, a lobby lounge, and wellness facilities, alongside multiple sophisticated event spaces. The property is designed to serve premium leisure and business travellers and will be suitable for MICE, staycations, and wedding buyouts.
For Hyatt House Bengaluru Devanahalli, the greenfield development is slated to open in 2027. This facility will consist of 135 serviced apartments, catering to both short and long-term stays. Its location is just 20 minutes from Kempegowda International Airport, positioning it to serve the expanding Devanahalli tech corridor, which encompasses upcoming IT Parks, the Aerospace Science Park, and the planned Financial City. Amenities at this location include an all-day restaurant, a bar, meeting spaces, a swimming pool, and a fitness center.
Nirupa Shankar, Managing Director of Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited, stated that Grand Hyatt Chennai ECR will be a world-class hotel redefining Chennai's hospitality landscape. She noted that this venture represents BHVL's first hotel with Hyatt, and the location on East Coast Road positions it as a prime destination for business travellers, leisure seekers, and wedding guests.
Amar Mysore, Director of BCV Developers Private Limited, expressed excitement about collaborating with Hyatt for the Devanahalli project. He added that the Hyatt House brand aligns perfectly with the Devanahalli locality, offering a combination of comfort and convenience for both business and leisure travellers, and that its proximity to the airport and tech parks makes it a prime spot for extended-stay hospitality.
Dhruva Rathore, Vice President of Development for India & Southwest Asia at Hyatt, commented on the developments.
