Strategic Expansion and Key Wins
A major driver of growth has been the company's penetration into hyperscale infrastructure. During the quarter, Black Box secured a new global hyperscaler contract valued at US$131 million (approximately ₹1,240 crore) while concurrently expanding an existing relationship with another hyperscaler. The firm operates as the only India-origin, AI-led digital infrastructure solutions provider executing gigawatt-scale data centre programs in this sector.New orders totaled approximately US$339 million (about ₹3,208 crore), further solidifying the company’s strong position. The order momentum is expected to continue through FY27, with Black Box anticipating US$1.3–1.5 billion of order bookings, representing a 32–45% growth over FY26.
The order base benefits from broad-based demand outside of hyperscalers. Financial services, healthcare, public services, and retail accounted for approximately US$80 million (around ₹757 crore) in order bookings during the quarter. Notable wins include a large U.S. connectivity infrastructure engagement with a leading chip manufacturer, along with significant orders from a U.S. state government and a major healthcare provider.
Building Scalable Execution Capability
To manage the increasing size and complexity of digital infrastructure programs, Black Box is focusing on building scalable execution advantages. The company plans to hire nearly 3,000 professionals by FY30, primarily in the United States, to expand delivery capacity and support larger, mission-critical projects.Sanjeev Verma, Whole-time Director & Chief Executive Officer, noted, "We have entered FY27 with strong momentum, delivering our highest ever quarterly revenue of ₹1,719 crore, up 24% YoY... Our priority is to convert this opportunity into disciplined, profitable growth as we build towards our ambition of becoming a US$2 billion revenue company by FY30."
Deepak Kumar Bansal, Executive Director and Global CFO, added that Q1 demonstrated the improving financial quality of the business.
