Bihar Sponge Iron Limited Enters Facility User Agreement with Amalgam Steel & Power Limited
Chandil, Jharkhand, March 24, 2026 – Bihar Sponge Iron Limited announced today, March 24, 2026, a new Facility User Agreement with Amalgam Steel & Power Limited. The agreement, effective March 23, 2026, is for the operation of the company's Sponge Iron Plant and associated railway siding in Jharkhand.This development follows a temporary suspension of operations at the company's plant by Vanraj Steels Private Limited and others, previously reported on February 7 and 10, 2026. The new agreement supersedes the prior Facility User Agreement with Vanraj.
Bihar Sponge Iron Limited anticipates that the agreement with Amalgam Steel & Power Limited will facilitate the resumption of operations and improved utilization of the plant.
