Operational Scope and Business Activities​

Bharti Airtel's primary business activity accounted for 100% of the entity’s turnover, focused on information and communication activities, specifically wired, wireless or satellite Telecommunication services. Out of the total turnover, Wireless Telecommunication Activities contributed 90.07%, while Wired Telecommunication Activities comprised 9.93%.

The company operates across a wide geographical range, serving 28 States and 8 Union Territories nationally. Internationally, group companies serve telecom operations in 15 countries, and the company maintains presences in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka through associate entities.

Regarding carbon emissions, total Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions were recorded at 19,574 tCO 2e and 274,476 tCO 2e, respectively, resulting in an intensity of 0.24 tCO 2e/₹Mn.

Water Consumption:
The total volume of water consumption was reported as 82 MnL in FY 2025-26 from a total withdrawal of 128 MnL. The water intensity per rupee of turnover remained stable at 0.00007 MnL/₹Mn across both reporting periods (FY 2025-26 and FY 2024-25).

Waste Management:
Total waste generated amounted to 8,553 Metric Tonnes in FY 2025-26. This included 1,574 Metric Tonnes of Battery Waste and 2,419 Metric Tonnes of E-waste. The company is committed to a 3R strategy (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and ensures that hazardous waste, including e-waste and other waste, is disposed of through government authorized recyclers.
