
BEL Bags Additional Defence Contracts Since February 6 Disclosure
Navratna defence public sector undertaking Bharat Electronics Limited on Wednesday announced that it has secured additional orders worth ₹733 crore since its last disclosure on February 6, 2026.The newly secured contracts span a broad portfolio of defence electronics and associated systems. These include TR modules, communication equipment, encryptors, radars, jammers, software solutions, test equipment, upgrades, spare parts, and related services. The steady inflow highlights sustained demand across core defence electronics segments and system integration capabilities.
Stock Trades Higher on Order Momentum
Shares of Bharat Electronics were trading at ₹438.85, up ₹3.80 or 0.87 percent, as of 2:36 pm on February 25. The positive movement comes amid continued order inflows and improving financial performance.Order Book Remains Robust at ₹73,015 Crore
The fresh contracts further strengthen the company’s already substantial order book. At the end of December, Bharat Electronics had reported an order book of ₹73,015 crore.The update had accompanied its December quarter financial results, where the company delivered performance ahead of market expectations.
December Quarter Performance Beats Estimates
For the December quarter, revenue rose 23.7 percent year on year to ₹7,122 crore, surpassing the estimate of ₹6,710 crore. EBITDA increased 28 percent to ₹2,117 crore, while operating margins expanded by 100 basis points to 29.7 percent.Net profit climbed 20.8 percent to ₹1,590 crore, despite a ₹16.6 crore impact arising from new labour laws.
Focus Shifts to Execution and Large Defence Programmes
Following the earnings release, brokerages expressed optimism on the company’s outlook, citing improving order inflows and progress on key defence programmes such as QR-SAM and the Indian S-400.With fresh orders continuing to flow in and a strong order book in place, attention now turns to execution timelines and additional large-ticket defence contracts that may be awarded in the coming months.
