Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, has secured a significant contract valued at Rs. 1251 Crore (excluding taxes). The order is for the supply of the Ground Based Mobile ELINT System (GBMES) to the Indian Army, strengthening India's defense capabilities.

The contract, signed with the Ministry of Defence, solidifies BEL's role in the defense sector. The procured GBMES system is highlighted as a totally indigenous and state-of-the-art technological asset. It was designed and developed by DLRL Hyderabad and is manufactured by BEL.

The networked intelligence system provided by GBMES is equipped with advanced capabilities crucial for modern warfare. It is capable of detecting, classifying, and locating all types of radars. Furthermore, the system provides comprehensive surveillance by intercepting and analyzing all communication signals.

The implementation of the GBMES system is set to significantly enhance the situational awareness and overall Air Defence capabilities of the country, providing critical support to the Indian Army.

BEL Stock Price Movement​

Today, Bharat Electronics Limited shares edged higher, settling at ₹433.35, marking a solid 0.68% gain in post-market trading. The stock saw robust activity throughout the day, with 11.64 million shares transacting on the segment.
