Bharat Coking Coal Limited Reports Provisional Monthly Production Figures for March 2026​

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) announced its provisional monthly production performance for March 2026 and the period spanning April 2025 to March 2026.

Raw coal production for March 2026 totaled 4.42 million tonnes, a 2.0% increase compared to 4.33 million tonnes produced in March 2025. Overall, raw coal production for the period of April 2025 to March 2026 reached 35.52 million tonnes, a 12.3% decrease compared to 40.50 million tonnes during the same period in the prior year.

Production from underground mines totaled 0.11 million tonnes in March 2026, down 23.5% from 0.14 million tonnes in March 2025. Opencast mine production reached 4.31 million tonnes in March 2026, an increase of 2.9% year-over-year.

Washed coking coal production for March 2026 was 0.17 million tonnes, a 17.5% increase compared to 0.14 million tonnes in March 2025.

Overburden removal amounted to 12.21 million cubic meters in March 2026, compared to 16.13 million cubic meters in March 2025. Offtake of raw coal for March 2026 was 2.66 million tonnes, down 24.4% from 3.52 million tonnes in March 2025.
