BEL and RRP Group Sign MoU to Advance Semiconductor, Unmanned Systems, and Electro-Optics Collaboration
Bengaluru, March 24, 2026: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RRP Electronics Limited and RRP Defense Limited, both part of the RRP Group, to collaborate on business opportunities in Semiconductors, Electro-Optics, Unmanned Systems, and advanced Defence technologies.The agreement aims to strengthen India's Defence technology landscape and support indigenisation efforts. BEL’s experience in advanced electronics and mission-critical systems will be combined with RRP Electronics Ltd's semiconductor manufacturing expertise and RRP Defense Ltd's capabilities in Electro-Optical (EO) systems and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) platforms.
The collaboration will focus on jointly identifying, designing, and developing technologies for Defence and strategic applications, including high-precision EO systems, semiconductor devices, and Next Generation unmanned solutions. The partnership is expected to unlock export opportunities in alignment with the Ministry of Defence’s export promotion policies.
The MoU was exchanged between Mrs. Niti Pandit, GM (Strategic Planning, BEL), and Mr. Rajendra Chodankar (Founder & Chairman - RRP group of Companies), in the presence of Mr. Manoj Jain, Chairman & Managing Director-BEL, and other senior officials.
Mr. Manoj Jain, CMD, BEL, stated the MoU marks a significant step towards strengthening the Indian defence ecosystem and that the combination of BEL's expertise with RRP's capabilities will deliver cutting-edge, indigenous solutions.
Mr. Rajendra Chodankar, Founder & Chairman - RRP Group of Companies, noted the partnership would strengthen India's defence technological base and advance the nation's long-term interests.
