Kolkata, June 11, 2026: BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited has secured a contract valued at Rs 28.92 million for essential electrical works within the Sealdah division of the Eastern Railway. The project involves specialized services related to 25 KV PSl and allied Electrical Works in connection with the SDAH Division.

The contract, awarded by the Eastern Railway, entails the replacement of an aged Capacitor Bank at Titagarh/FP and Sonarpur/FP, along with associated PSI works. BCPL was awarded the order on June 11, 2026. The total project cost is Rs 28.92 million (including GST), and the work must be completed within 12 months from the date of issuing the Letter of Acceptance.

The business venture falls under the ordinary course of BCPL’s operations and involves a domestic entity in India, with General Contract Conditions applied to the project.

Commenting on this significant contract intake, Aparesh Nandi, Chairman of BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited, expressed pleasure at the development. He stated that the company is pleased to undertake the 25 KV PSI and allied Electrical Works for the Eastern Railway. Mr. Nandi further shared optimism regarding the future growth in the railway sector, stating that BCPL is confident in continuing service within the Indian Railways. He noted a consistent flow of potential work opportunities across the country, including EPC orders, modification works, laying new lines, adding 3 and 4 track lines, and increasing the speed of existing railway lines.
